The property will soon boast a total of 38 pools in the newly renovated resort, which also just completed the crafting of a Japanese-inspired meditation garden with Japanese soaking tubs. Glenwood Springs’ Iron Mountain Hot Springs hints at some great additions to open mid 2023. The country named its newest National Historic Site: Amache National Historic Site. This designation will permanently protect the site for future generations, helping to tell the history of Japanese Americans’ incarceration during World War II. President Joe Biden also recently designated Camp Hale, a World War II training center near Vail, as his first national monument as president, as well as the ninth national monument in Colorado.

History Colorado recently launched the Black Heritage Trail, an interactive mobile app mapping sites and places of Black historical significance. Visitors and locals can embark on their own tours to learn more about Black history throughout the state.

The state sees new properties emerge in 2023, allowing for more visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of the state. Slated to open in time for the 2022/2023 ski season, A-Frame Club features 31 newly constructed, A-frame cabins integrated into Winter Park’s natural environment.

In the historic district of Ouray, Western Hotel & Spa currently undergoes restoration to become a modern hotel with luxe touches. Many properties prepare to open in 2023 after extensive renovations, including Aspen Meadows Resort. The Carlin, located in Breckenridge, expects to open this winter, featuring four luxury hotel suites on the top floor, an open-kitchen restaurant on the main floor and a subterranean tavern.
