Day 1: Salt Lake City
Arrive in Salt Lake City and spend time seeing the sights in this exciting urban city filled with shopping, restaurants, cultural activities and sporting events. This is a modern city set at the footsteps of spectacular mountain ranges. Stay overnight and discover the many attractions Salt Lake City has to offer.

Day 2: Salt Lake City to Moab
Enjoy a scenic motorcoach sightseeing transfer by one of our trusted partners from Salt Lake City to Moab and tour the Scarlet City at your own leisure. Stay overnight in the heart of Moab’s canyon county before setting out to explore the diverse range of activities Moab has to offer.

Day 3: Moab
Spend the day exploring Moab and the national parks in the region at your own pace. Known as the Adventure Capital of Utah, there is no shortage of activities to choose from. Discover the vivid colors and natural sandstone formations of Arches National Park, dip into desert history and culture, or even raft the rapids on the Colorado River. Stay overnight in Moab before departing on your Rocky Mountaineer journey the next morning.

Day 4: Moab to Glenwood Springs
Enjoy the morning at your leisure before boarding Rocky Mountaineer and departing from our station in Moab. Look out for Mount Peale while crossing over the Colorado-Utah border as you follow alongside the Colorado River. Take in the stunning mountain views of Mount Garfield — the highest peak along the Book Cliffs — and the vibrant Ruby Canyon, accessible only by train or from the river. Sip on one of our signature cocktails as you approach the historic spa town of Glenwood Springs, famous for its hot springs, where you will spend the night before continuing eastward in the morning.

Day 5: Glenwood Springs to Denver
Depart Glenwood Springs and wind through spectacular rugged canyons and the rushing Colorado River before cutting through the Moffat Tunnel and crossing the Continental Divide. Enjoy a regionally inspired lunch and be captivated by stories of the region as you take in the picturesque canyons and the Colorado Rockies. Roll into the vibrant Mile High City of Denver, where you will stop for your final overnight stay.
Day 6: Denver
After ending your journey with Rocky Mountaineer, you’re free to explore Colorado’s capital city at your own pace. Denver regularly ranks as one of the best places to live in the United States and boasts panoramic mountain vistas, show-stopping live music and a blossoming food scene. The city’s Wild West spirit shines through no matter what you choose to do, whether that’s marveling at the 70,000 works of art at Denver Art Museum or experiencing the lively nightlife and trendy restaurants of the historic Lower Downtown district.
