Reserva Natural do Estuário do Tejo
Near city center, Reserva Natural do Estuário do Tejo is the largest wetland in Portugal. Its vast size makes it the perfect home for spotted redshanks, common greenshanks, pied avocets, stilts and many other species. Great for bird and nature lovers, visit in autumn to see flamingos arrive by the thousands. Accessible by car, bike or foot, visitors can also ride on one of the typical boats used to cross the river.
As the most westerly point in continental Europe, this area drops suddenly into the sea from its 140-meter-high cliffs. The area still operates its 18th-century lighthouse to guide vessels safely along the coast, and visitors wanting the most of their visit should come at sunset to watch the sun melt into the sea.

Originally built under King João V as a hunting and leisure park, this public park now welcomes all to explore its many wonders. Covering more than 800 hectares, the park is home to foxes, rabbits, deer, goats, wild boars and squirrels, as well as birds like owls, falcons and eagles. Situated just more than 40 kilometers from the city center, the park also offers activities like walking tours, mountain biking, archery, horseback riding and crossbow shooting.
Beaches of Arrábida and Sesimbra
With coves formed by the crystal-clear waters bordering Portugal, breathtaking beaches await visitors. South of Lisbon, by Setúbal, lie some of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, where visitors can jump into the blue waters of Portinho da Arrábida or Praia do Creiro. Also in Arrábida, visitors can embark on a dolphin-watching boat tour to witness the creatures splashing in and out of the clear waters.

A set of unique green spaces in Lisbon, this park features both native and exotic vegetation, as well as esplanades overlooking the Tejo River. Enjoy a relaxing walk in the gardens before visiting the park’s water gardens, featuring sculptures by Cutileiro.

May 23, 2025Relax, Rejuvenate and Heal at StolenTime
At the namesake luxury, 5-star all-inclusive resort in Saint Lucia, the concept of “stolen time” used to be reserved for couples escaping to canoodle, reconnect and perhaps rekindle in sumptuous accommodations during a romantic getaway on the lush Caribbean island. But when StolenTime by Rendezvous rebranded in late 2022 to welcome all adult guests and focus more on wellness, the philosophy expanded to encompass self-reflection, personal growth and enrichment. After all, time is our most precious commodity, one that’s finite and too quickly slips through our grasp; we need to find those moments that matter and make them count.

May 21, 2025Hotel Nice Beau Rivage Review
In the city Henri Matisse once called home — and where Musée Matisse holds his largest collection — Hotel Beau Rivage has a special connection with the artist, who first visited the hotel in 1916 and painted famous sea views from his room 89 in 1917. Today, framed Matisse prints — many brightly colored cut-out collages from the artist’s JAZZ collection — decorate its walls. Hotel guests also benefit from a partnership with the museum.
