Guests at Four Seasons Hotel Boston can find artistic inspiration right in the hotel’s hallways, as the property recently debuted a curation of international artwork throughout the space. Jim Peters, director of creative, Four Seasons Hotel Boston, reimagined on-site restaurant Aujourd’hui, private venue The Four on Five and the lobby with art and design touches inspired by each space’s character.
Aujourd’hui
Peters commissioned local artist Iris Marcus to create botanical murals and silver tongue-in-cheek goddess statues. He also designed the space to feel like an extension of the park. There’s additional artwork sourced from DTR Modern Galleries, the largest gallery on the East Coast. Those pieces include I Don’t Care What Anybody Says About Me by The Connor Brothers, UP The Souls on Jacob’s Ladder Take Their Flight by Damien Hirst, Vermeer by Juro Karlik, Yeah Really? By Rainer Lagemann, and Untitled (Butterflies) by Hunt Slonem.
The Four on Five
With its posh, club-like atmosphere, The Four on Five’s artwork was selected in collaboration with Gurari Collections, a gallery located in the South End of Boston. The collection in The Four on Five include 26 copperplate etchings from Mitsushige Nishiwaki, including Le Cake au Chocolat, America, Red Sox and Tour de France.
Lobby
In the lobby, Rainer Lagemann sculptures Climber Sophia and Climber Daiane greet guests.
“We strive to continually innovate and create interest for our guests,” explained Peters. “Refreshing the art and design around the property has added another layer of texture, always with thoughtful intention, to the guest’s experience.”

May 23, 2025Relax, Rejuvenate and Heal at StolenTime
At the namesake luxury, 5-star all-inclusive resort in Saint Lucia, the concept of “stolen time” used to be reserved for couples escaping to canoodle, reconnect and perhaps rekindle in sumptuous accommodations during a romantic getaway on the lush Caribbean island. But when StolenTime by Rendezvous rebranded in late 2022 to welcome all adult guests and focus more on wellness, the philosophy expanded to encompass self-reflection, personal growth and enrichment. After all, time is our most precious commodity, one that’s finite and too quickly slips through our grasp; we need to find those moments that matter and make them count.

May 21, 2025Hotel Nice Beau Rivage Review
In the city Henri Matisse once called home — and where Musée Matisse holds his largest collection — Hotel Beau Rivage has a special connection with the artist, who first visited the hotel in 1916 and painted famous sea views from his room 89 in 1917. Today, framed Matisse prints — many brightly colored cut-out collages from the artist’s JAZZ collection — decorate its walls. Hotel guests also benefit from a partnership with the museum.
