Exclusive Asia tour operator Remote Lands adds the Caucasus Region to its itineraries for 2022. The new itineraries invite guests to travel through Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan to explore the natural beauty, cultural diversity and warm hospitality in each country.
In Armenia, travelers can spend seven days venturing through Yerevan, the country’s capital, and southern Armenia in Remote Lands’ Classic Armenia itinerary. In addition to experiencing Yerevan Opera House Cascade, the Armenian Genocide Memorial and UNESCO World Heritage site Echmiadzin, guests will also have the chance to visit Yerevan Brandy Factory to taste ARARAT liquor. In southern Armenia, visitors will spend time in Goris to witness the region’s natural monuments and visit Tatev Monastery, accessible only by aerial cable car.
Remote Lands offers guests the option of four itineraries to Georgia, from five- to 14-night journeys. Travelers to Georgia will visit the Kazbegi and Svaneti regions on horseback, explore UNESCO churches like Gergeti Trinity and Bagrati Cathedral, as well as enjoy a vineyard tour and tasting in the Karkheti region. Dishes like khinkali (Georgian dumpling) and khachap (cheese flatbread) also await travelers.
Trips to Azerbaijan via Remote Lands range from four to 14 days, allowing guests to explore the country’s top sites, including Ganja, Sheki and the UNESCO capital of Baku. Travelers of Remote Lands’ Azerbaijan itineraries will also have the opportunity to visit the alpine villages of Laza and Khinalqiu, the Ateshgah Temple and Lahij village.
