Alaska Airlines introduces regional jet service on the Embraer 175 aircraft. Operated by regional partner Horizon Air, the E175 will serve select markets in the state.

After reducing air service earlier this year, the E175 jet allows Alaska Airlines to increase daily flights between Anchorage (ANC) and Fairbanks (FAI), and offer year-round service to King Salmon (AKN) and Dillingham (DLG).

“This has been an especially challenging time for Alaskans both due to the pandemic and the reduction of air service last spring,” said Marilyn Romano, regional vice president, Alaska Airlines. “As part of our commitment to Alaskans and the communities we serve, we are introducing a new aircraft to our in-state 737 fleet. The E175 supports additional flying and keeps Alaskans connected within the state and beyond.”

The E175 offers 76 seats and is ideal for many communities where larger jets are not feasible year-round.

The regional jet does not offer middle seats, and includes 12 first-class seats, 12 Premium Class seats and 52 in the main cabin. Guests can expect onboard WiFi and Alaska Beyond Entertainment, including hundreds of free movies and TV shows streaming via customer devices.
