American Airlines extended its change-fee offer on all flights purchased by Sept. 30, for travel through Dec. 31. American Airlines will waive change fees, but not the difference (if applicable) in ticket price, upon rebooking.
This offer also includes all AAdvantage award tickets, and allows customers to change their origin and destination upon rebooking.
As of July 29, American Airlines requires all customers (ages 2 and up) to wear face coverings onboard and in each airport. Face coverings must be worn when customers enter their departure airport and throughout the entire trip, until they exit the arrival airport. This policy extends to all American-operated areas of the airport, including the Admirals Club lounges.
