American Express is opening a 12th Centurion Lounge today in Los Angeles (LAX). The new lounge follows two other openings in Phoenix (PHX) and Charlotte (CLT).

The LAX Centurion Lounge will be the largest yet for American Express and includes unique wellness services, locally inspired cuisine, cocktails, artwork and more.

Guests can expect L.A.-centric cuisine, curated by American Express Global Dining Collection chef Nancy Silverton. Her menu includes fresh, seasonal ingredients in menu items, such as Mozza meatballs, roasted

beets with horseradish vinaigrette; farro salad with fresh herbs and feta; and more.

To pair with the meal, the lounge includes a complimentary full bar offering premium wine, selected by wine director Anthony Giglio, and specialty cocktails, curated by renowned Centurion Lounge mixologist Jim Meehan — all inspired by L.A.’s booming cocktail culture.

Of the non-alcoholic variety, guests enjoy L.A.-based coffee from City Bean Roasters.

As far as wellness experiences go, the space features unique Sunrise and Moonrise tranquility rooms, exclusive to Centurion Lounges. The rooms use light and sound to help guests relax and destress, with additional spa services available, including Light Therapy, Reiki and ear reflexology.
