Southwest Airlines announced new and increased service to several destinations beginning in early 2020.
Starting April 14, 2020, Southwest offers six daily flights between Honolulu (HNL) and Kahului (OGG), up from the four daily flights previously offered.
During Hawai’i’s 2020 Merrie Monarch Festival, April 15–19, Southwest plans to offer additional service between Honolulu and Hilo (ITO) to benefit festival attendees. Additional service results in a total of six flights each way between the two destinations April 15–18 and seven flights each way April 19.
“This additional service not only will allow more locals to travel for the festival while experiencing our unique combination of value and hospitality, it highlights our commitment to serve the communities of the islands in a way that delivers on our purpose of connecting people to what’s important in their lives,” said Andrew Watterson, executive vice president and chief revenue officer, Southwest Airlines.
Seventeen additional Southwest departures from Baltimore (BWI) are planned for next spring on established, popular routes.
