InterContinental Hotels Group makes its first foray into Guam with plans to rebrand the current Fiesta Resort Guam as Crowne Plaza Resort Guam in time for an early 2021 debut.
The property offers more than 300 guestrooms, direct beach access and proximity to luxury shopping. Following renovations, the property will include a club lounge, new food and beverage facilities, meeting and event facilities, multiple swimming pools and a fitness center.
While IHG operates extensively in Japan, Korea and China, the Guam property is its first in Micronesia.
“We are so excited to add Guam as new global destinations for IHG guests. Guam is already a favorite with travelers from Korea, China and Japan, and we look forward to growing their footprint with our world-class Crowne Plaza brand,” said Abhijay Sandilya, vice president, development, Australasia, Japan and Pacific, InterContinental Hotels Group.
