Qatar Airways has introduced a new online system enabling passengers flying the airline to apply for tourist visas to Qatar.
The new system eases the process of applying for a tourist visa to Qatar while offering the convenience of tracking visa application status online. The program is limited to one-month, single-entry tourist visas and the visa must be used within 60 of the issue date. The validity of the visa and the visa period cannot be extended.
It takes approximately 10 days to process the online visa application. Cost is $55 per person. A fast-track option (approximately seven days to process) is available for $120 person. Visa application fees are not refundable.
Requirements and conditions include the following:
- A confirmed ticket in and out of Doha on a Qatar Airways flight
- Hotel accommodations in Qatar must be booked through Discover Qatar
- The visa will be issued for the duration of the hotel stay only
- Stays must not exceed 30 days
- Travel must be for tourism purposes only
