The U.S. Department of Transportation recently announced a new order canceling all combination service between the United States and Mexico’s Felipe Angeles International Airport, resulting in 13 current or planned routes by Mexican carriers into the United States.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy also ordered freezes of any growth of Mexican carriers’ combination services between the United States and Benito Juarez International Airport. Flights now disapproved include:

  • Aeromexico service between Benito Juarez International Airport and San Juan (SJU)
  • Volaris service between Benito Juarez International Airport and Newark (EWR)
  • Viva Aerobus’ proposed services between Felipe Angeles International Airport and Austin (AUS), New York (JFK), Chicago (ORD), Dallas (DFW), Denver (DEN), Houston, Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA) and Orlando (MCO)
