Wyndham Hotel Group announced the expansion of its portfolio in Latin America with the opening of the Wyndham Guayaquil in Ecuador. Located downtown on the waterfront near the Simon Bolivar Convention Center, the 179-room property is the first hotel under the upscale Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand in the South American country.

“The launch of our flagship brand in an emerging market like Ecuador — and in one of the country’s busiest business and travel centers — is very exciting for our company,” said Daniel del Olmo, senior vice president and managing director of Latin America for Wyndham Hotel Group. “Wyndham Guayaquil will give travelers the chance to experience our customer-focused ‘Count On Me!’ service culture and will also offer the reliable services and amenities they need during their stay.

Wyndham Hotel Group currently operates over 13,600 guestrooms across 107 hotels open and operating in Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean under the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Howard Johnson, Days Inn, Ramada, Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, Wingate by Wyndham and TRYP by Wyndham brands.
