The world’s largest bar (as recognized by Guinness World Records) just opened its doors at Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle after an expansion. The sprawling, 32,000-square-foot bar is about half the size of a soccer field.
McCafferty’s JVC is not only the largest bar in the world, but also the largest Irish bar in the world. This massive venue blends Irish culture with Dubai’s unstoppable appetite for the bigger and bolder. The bar occupies the entire rooftop of Circle Mall in Dubai, featuring countless Irish pub artifacts and antiques ranging from antique red Massey Ferguson tractors to pub signs shipped from Ireland.
The bar includes a large outdoor terrace for events; more than 148 beers on tap (yes, including Guinness); a state-of-the-art LED screen for sports viewing; vibrant community spaces; and pool and table tennis tables.
“Guinness has always been about bringing people together, and there’s something truly magical about seeing that spirit celebrated on such a big scale,” said Antoinette Drumm, managing director, Diageo MENA, the alcoholic beverage company and distributor that helped make the bar’s offerings possible. “McCafferty’s in Dubai doesn’t just raise the bar, it once again reflects the city’s unstoppable spirit, a place that never stops reaching new heights and setting new records. We couldn’t be happier to have the world’s largest Irish bar serving the world’s most iconic stout.”
This bar marks McCafferty’s fifth in the United Arab Emirates and 18th worldwide.
