The W Rome is slated to open in 2021, as the first W Hotel in Italy. Situated in the Via Veneto neighborhood, the property includes 159 guestrooms and suites, including an Extreme WOW suite. Public spaces include a rooftop signature destination bar, the W Living Room, two restaurants and modern event space. A FIT workout facility and spa are also planned. The entire hotel is set within two adjacent 19th-century properties on Via Liguria, in buildings originally used as government offices. The new design keeps the architecture’s historic elements intact.

Currently, W Hotels operates seven properties in Europe. Ten other W Hotels are set to open in the coming years, including the W Tel Aviv in 2018; properties in Madrid, Belgrade and Portugal in 2019; and properties in Marbella and Edinburgh in 2021.
