Known for its tricked-out planes, the Virgin brand has another trick up its sleeve. Virgin Australia recently released a swanky new bar in the cabin, which opens after the flight’s first meal service. The bar is located in business class on retrofitted Boeing 777-300ERs. These flights will also serve a continental breakfast before the full breakfast service. The bar area is only accessible to business-class passengers, so economy-class travelers will have to settle for flight attendant seat-side service. The business class cabin — The Business in Virgin parlance — is made up of 37 individual and private suites that convert into 80-inch beds for sleeping. The airline is also outfitted with 18-inch entertainment screens and large console areas with charging ports. Virgin Australia recently announced plans for new Economy Space+ seats, which will offer extra legroom, individualized overhead space, the promise of first meal choice, dedicated crew members serving only this level and a noise-canceling headset. These premium seats are located in the first five rows and the exit rows of the economy cabin.
