Virgin America announced last week the return of its popular seasonal flights in order to help East Coast travelers escape the cold weather. The daily non-stop service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Fort Lauderdale International Airport begins tomorrow. The airline introduces a new service between JFK and Palm Springs International Airport beginning Nov. 19.
Virgin will offer its three-class service — first class, Main Cabin Select and Main Cabin — with mood lighting, touch-screen entertainment, WiFi and on-demand food and drink ordering.
“With winter just around the corner, we’re pleased to offer East Coast travelers even more options to help them escape to warmer destinations,” said Adam Green, director of network planning, Virgin American. “With our mood lighting, award-winning guest service, personal entertainment and power outlets at every seat, plus WiFi across the entire fleet, travelers can start their vacation as soon as they step on board.”
The cabins are nothing short of luxury. Main Cabin offers custom leather seating with a deeper pitch, while the first-class cabin offers plush white leather seating with 55 inches of pitch and 165 degrees of recline and lumbar massages. Main Cabin Select offers 38 inches of pitch, free food and cocktails, entertainment and priority check-in and boarding. The airline entertainment platform provides guests with individual seatback touch-screens with films, TV, interactive maps, video games, a song library, surround sound technology and an on-demand menu allowing flyers to order from their seat anytime.
Tickets are available online or by calling 877 FLY VIRGIN with special sale fares for JFK–FLL starting from $99 one way and JFK–PSP from $199.
