Virgin America launched new service between San Francisco International Airport and Honolulu International Airport this month with a Hawai’ian-style send-off. To celebrate the occasion, Virgin America’s home at San Francisco’s Terminal 2 transformed into an exotic oasis as Virgin America and Airbnb hosted a lu’au complete with hula dancers, Mai Tais and island-inspired music. In true hospitality spirit, Airbnb offered a glimpse into what it is like to Live Aloha with an authentically designed Hawai’ian Hale where travelers were able to enjoy fresh fruit, juice and giveaways while indulging in Hawai’ian oils, creams and body mist before boarding the flight.
Virgin America also plans to launch new service between San Francisco and Kahului Airport on Maui Dec. 3. Both routes will operate with new aircraft offering three custom-designed classes of service, touch-screen personal entertainment and an on-demand food and cocktail menu on every flight.

Their cruise ships dock smoothly at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a modern gateway designed by Sir Norman Foster.
