On July 10, Viking announced its first river voyages in India, set to launch in late 2027 on Viking Brahmaputra, Viking’s new, 80-guest vessel built especially for Brahmaputra River. On this 15-day Wonders of India journey, guests will experience a fully guided land program with overnights in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.

Departing from and returning to Delhi, the 15-day itinerary takes guests on 13 immersive tours across India’s cultural treasures, including 10 UNESCO World Heritage sites, India’s Golden Triangle, the Taj Mahal, Old Delhi and Palace of Winds. While sailing on the Brahmaputra River, guests will also see Guwahati’s temple; encounter buzzing villages along its banks; witness the one-horned rhinos and buffalos of Kaziranga National Park; and discover the cultures of Majuli, one of the world’s largest river islands.

Viking will also offer a range of pre- and post-land extensions on this itinerary, including Delhi (two nights), Dubai (three nights, fully guided), Kathmandu (four nights, fully guided), and Cochin & Mumbai (five nights and fully guided).

The three-deck Viking Brahmaputra will feature 40 outside staterooms, complete with the signature Scandinavian design for which Viking is known. All staterooms and suites boast floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors with verandas. The ship also includes public amenities like a spa and fitness center, as well as an open-air Sky Bar on the upper deck.

Now through July 31, North American travelers who book this new itinerary can save up to $5,000 per couple, plus airfare from $999 with a $25 deposit.
