Up Norway, Norway’s travel curator, partners with sustainability experts to offer travelers a new tour. The Discovery Route, called the “world’s most sustainable journey,” combines personal wellness with the wellness of the environment.
The 12-night excursion brings travelers throughout western Norway, from Bergen to Stavanger. Up Norway considers the environmental, social and economic impact of sustainability when curating tours. Accommodations include eco-certified properties, family-run hotels and cabins. Dining options throughout the tour include sustainable dishes made using local ingredients, including a dinner at the two-Michelin-starred Re-naa. Transportation during the tour takes place via the eco-friendly Tesla Model 3. Guests will meet with local community leaders, farmers and chefs, where they will learn about Norway’s sustainability in action.
Travelers take part in numerous activities during the 12-night tour, including:
- Rappelling at Skjervsfossen Waterfall
- Visiting the Norwegian Museum of Hydro Power
- Tractor safari in Eikemo
- Snorkel with salmon in the Suldalslågen River
- A trip to Trefadder Forest

Deep Dive Dubai, home of the deepest swimming pool for diving in the world, opened in Dubai, in the Nad Al Sheba neighborhood. Guinness World Records verified the pool as the world’s deepest swimming pool for diving at a depth of 60.02 meters, or almost 197 feet, holding 14 million liters of water, equivalent to six Olympic-sized swimming pools.
