If you are a yoga, wine and animal lover, The Barn Hill Preserve of Delaware in Frankford, Delaware, is the destination for you. The Barn Hill Preserve offers activities and events where visitors find their Zen with kangaroos or spend the night sipping wine with sloths.

Delaware native Josh Mueller established The Barn Hill Preserve of Delaware in 2015. During college, Mueller worked at the original Barn Hill Preserve in Louisiana and decided it was time to open his own in his hometown. The mission of the preserve is to educate the next generation on conservation through interactive and immersive animal experiences — the two most popular are kangaroo yoga and sipping wine with sloths.

Kangaroo Yoga started at local gyms to help raise money for the bushfires in Australia, but the event was so popular, it became a regular event. When the pandemic hit, they began hosting yoga sessions in the 8,000-square-foot enclosure. There are five different marsupials named Rufus, Tyson, Chandler, Arnie and Mack. Guests will see the gang hopping around during sessions, falling asleep on yoga mats or giving people hugs.

Tickets for this specific event go for $40 and come with a glass of wine, a cheese plate and an encounter with a sloth.
