United Airlines now offers more business-class seats between London and the New York City area than any other U.S. carrier. The status comes with the airline’s decision to operate its newly reconfigured Boeing 767-300ER aircraft on routes between the New York City area and London (LHR).
The reconfigured aircraft feature 16 more United Polaris business-class seats than previously, for 46 premium-cabin seats on each aircraft. Twenty-two United Premium Plus seats are also available, as are 47 Economy Plus seats and 52 economy seats.
“By reconfiguring aircraft and adding more space and seats, and ultimately comfort, we are committed to making United the airline that customers choose to fly,” said Andrew Nocella, chief commercial officer, United Airlines. “We have seen an increase in customer demand for premium seats and we’re excited to be able to expand the number of seats on all of our flights between New York/Newark and London.”
