Travelers flying on United Airlines’ Boeing 737 aircraft will be able to watch live television. The addition brings more than 100 channels of live DIRECTV to 211 aircraft and more than 30,000 seats.
“Offering free entertainment, whether it’s on seat back TV or on personal devices, is one example of how we are placing our customers at the heart of what we do and helping them to relax and enjoy their flights,” said Toby Enqvist, chief customer officer, United.
In addition to offering more than 100 channels of live television, customers also have access to United’s media library on the United app, including hundreds of movies and television shows.
Live television is available on certain flights now.
