Hyatt’s new Unbound Collection welcomed Royal Palms Resort and Spa June 20. “The Royal Palms Resort and Spa is an ideal fit for The Unbound Collection by Hyatt given the hotel’s prominent positioning in the market and its ability to create experiences for our guests,” said Steve Haggerty, global head, real estate and capital strategy, Hyatt. The property, designed to reflect Spanish and Mediterranean architecture, is located near Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. Originally opened in 1929 as a private residence, it now offers 119 guestrooms, suites and villas, with 21,000 square feet of meeting space. Amenities include acclaimed spa services and dining, a two-story fitness center and Tuscan-style gardens and groves. “The acquisition of the Royal Palms Resort and Spa shows our commitment to growing this brand, as well as our commitment to guests as we aim to create an increased presence in markets where we know they are traveling,” Haggerty also said. The Unbound Collection by Hyatt launched in February and currently includes six properties, counting the Royal Palms Resort and Spa. Others are The Confidante, Driskill Hotel, Hôtel du Louvre, Carmelo Resort & Spa and Coco Palms Resort. Each hotel in the collection retains its individual character and traits, while offering Hyatt’s loyalty program and trusted operating systems.
