Sailrock South Caicos, a boutique resort and residential community on Turks & Caicos, is nestled along the pristine beaches of the Caribbean. The resort, situated between two beautiful bodies of water, the Caicos Bank to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, provides breathtaking views, extensive coral reefs and turquoise waters.

Sailrock offers an array of luxurious vacation homes featuring private estate villas, beachfront villas and resort suites. The resort’s management and rental services guarantee effortless ownership and the opportunity to earn hassle-free rental income. Homeowners also enjoy many advantages, including residency privileges, exemption from property income capital gains, inheritance taxes, unparalleled privacy safeguards, nominal HOA fees, political and legal stability, and British Crown title assurance.

Many villas and suites are situated close to the beach with panoramic views. This year, Sailrock South Caicos also announced five new villas, expanding its accommodation options.

“I am excited to be a part of the celebrated Sailrock team and this already well positioned resort and outer island residential community,” said André Boersma, recently appointed managing director, Sailrock South Caicos. Boersma brings more than 30 years of experience from renowned luxury resorts throughout the world.

Sailrock South Caicos resort offers locally caught fresh seafood, and lots of international cuisine, enhancing the overall luxury experience.

Sailrock proudly supports local initiatives, incorporating many locals into staff positions, working with South Caicos fishermen and sourcing fresh ingredients into the cuisine.

Sailrock is also dedicated to ocean sustainability. With an acclaimed Marine Biology Center located a few miles down the road, the resort has the resources to share data and information with guests and staff. From turtle rescues to whale migration, the team is dedicated to protecting the area’s pristine waters.

Indigenous plants are part of the architecture, and the resort has created scenic footpaths; green privacy walls between villas; and medicinal elements utilized in the cuisine, drinks and even fiber for mending.

As part of Sailrock’s commitment to preserving the island’s natural beauty, the resort actively engages in the restoration of historic sites and environmental habitats.

South Caicos is one of the main inhabited islands in the Turks and Caicos and part of the Caicos Islands archipelago. South Caicos is the fourth-most populated island in the country and the seventh-largest by land mass, with an area of 8.2 square miles and an island population of a little more than 900 residents.

The main settlement on South Caicos is Cockburn Harbour, named in 1840 after an official visit by then Governor of the Bahamas, Sir Francis Cockburn. Many of the older buildings in Cockburn Harbour reflect the British Colonial heritage of the country, with Bermudian architecture and cut limestone block construction. Cockburn Harbour still functions as a working fishing village with colorful boats and daily conch hauls. The Boiling Hole is a tidal blue hole that bubbles as the tide changes, and Turtle Crawl is ideal for paddleboarding and spotting marine life.

Non-stop flights to Providenciales International Airport from North America are easily available with American Airlines, United Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest and Delta Air Lines, and Air Canada and Westjet from Canada. Recently, visitors to the Turks & Caicos can now enjoy new direct flights from the United Kingdom by using British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. A short, 25-minute plane ride from the main island is included for most guests at Sailrock and is easily arranged by the resort’s on-site reservations department. An airport Fast Track concierge service is also available at additional cost and allows guests to bypass the lines at Immigration and Customs on arrival at PLS, as well as at the security line during departure. Several different Fast Track packages are offered, and prices start at $75 per person.

Master the Meandering County Louth Golf Club Along the Irish Sea

Those in the know refer simply to County Louth Golf Club as Baltray, but it can be quite confusing, as the tee marker logo reads “Baltray Links” and the scorecard logo says “County Louth Golf Club.” A rose by any other name, I guess? The location of the course proves prime for American golfers who collect courses they have played, like seashells on the beach. Baltray lies just 45 minutes from Dublin Airport and a mere 75 minutes from Belfast Airport ... maybe quicker if you have a heavy foot.
