Transaero Airlines announced the completion of the interior design of its Airbus A380 aircraft, scheduled to join the Russian carrier’s fleet in 2015. The airline’s four A380s will feature accommodations for 652 passengers, the highest seating capacity of any commercial passenger jet in the world. Situated in the front of the aircraft on the lower deck, the carrier’s first-class Imperial cabin will include 12 closed suites with luxury seats that extend into full-flat beds in a 1-2-1 configuration. Located in the front of the aircraft on the upper deck also in a 1-2-1 configuration, Transaero’s business class will feature 24 cocoon-style seats that can be transformed into 180-degree flat beds. Both first and business class will also offer guests bars and cloakrooms. The airline’s A380 will come equipped with more than 100 seats more than any other commercial aircraft in the skies today. “When developing the interior design of our A380s we strived to make full use of the advantages of this type of aircraft,” said Olga Pleshakova, CEO, Transaero Airlines. “I am certain the first A380 aircraft in the Russian market will be very popular among our clients, both on domestic and on international routes.” Transaero currently operates a fleet of 98 aircraft to 200 domestic and international destinations.
