The Dupont Hotel in Washington, D.C. relaunches in 2019.

The multimillion-dollar transformation includes a new bar and restaurant, reimagined lobby, updated 300-plus guestrooms and suites and one of the largest penthouses in the city.

The new club-esque bar, Doyle, takes the place of the previous Bar Dupont, with a 1950s feel including open fires, geometric patterns and brass finishes. The new restaurant offers al fresco and indoor dining, with more Mid-Century inspiration and a nod to the city’s famous cherry blossoms. An additional dining option is Doyle & Co, a coffee and chocolate bar.

The rooftop floor includes suites and a 5,000-square-foot penthouse with its own garden terrace with views of the Washington Monument. The penthouse includes two master bedrooms, a living area and dining area. Additional features include a fireplace and wet bar. The terrace is heated all year, with its own fire pit and a projector for movie nights.

The hotel welcomes guests starting next spring, with rates from $300 per night.
