For dessert, Chef Preálpato wows with items like the raspberry tart with anise seed and watercress; cherry and black olive lunette; and strawberry “tarte fine” and crème fraiche. Even the scones offer unique flavors, such as dried hibiscus flower scones with raspberry and tarragon, or Colombian coffee scones served with coffee crémieux.

The Lane recently launched a brand-new menu for its Regency Afternoon Tea, served on custom china featuring mythical characters within the restored Grand Saloon. Dine on coronation chicken pie, smoked salmon crumpets, and feta and carrot madeleines. Desserts, crafted by Lily Vanilli, include vanilla cake with buttercream, passionfruit and a handmade chocolate cupid; mini sticky toffee pudding; and a strawberry ice cream sandwich with marshmallow, strawberry ham, brown sugar biscuit and dark chocolate. The Regency Afternoon Tea even offers a separate gluten-free and vegan menu.
