Wednesdays on the Green is back for its 14th year, presented by Skokie Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Skokie Public Library. Every Wednesday evening, musical acts perform a free concert, drawing hundreds of fans at Village Green, the courtyard adjacent to the library.

Skokie Art Spot Popup
Last week I attended the opening of a Skokie Art Spot popup a couple blocks from my home. Hosted by Skokie's Fine Arts Commission and juried by Skokie artist Jay Ryan, the exhibition features creations from artists who live or work in Skokie.
Back to the Backlot
Much to my listening pleasure, about 15 musical acts performed during Skokie's Backlot Bash last weekend. A three-day event, Backlot Bash features a carnival, 5K run, classic films, an auto show and more, with live music my favorite part.
