While nothing can compare to my collection of books and the growing number of books read, I have lately been watching more films I often see referenced culturally, whether it be in a TV show or in a book or even in conversation. This means watching both the classics and more contemporary films. After all, books, movies and shows are so interconnected, especially today, it’s almost impossible to fully appreciate and understand one without delving into the others.

Show Recommendations
Last weekend I came down with the flu and was stuck in my room the whole weekend with my TV and my Kindle. The first day I reached out to friends and family for television show recommendations to help occupy my time when I wasn’t sleeping. With all the different sicknesses from COVID-19, the flu, the stomach bug and more going around, I figured I would make a list of shows and movies I watched as recommendations for others who happen to catch an illness.
The Dark Side of the Rainbow
The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite movies. Although I am not a fan of Pink Floyd, I recently enjoyed “The Legend Floyd: The Dark Side of the Rainbow,” a pairing of the legendary movie and band.

United Airlines First to Purchase Sustainable Aviation Fuel for ORD
Chicago O’Hare International Airport will soon receive sustainable aviation fuel, all thanks to United Airlines, which became the first airline to purchase SAF for use at the airport, one of the largest in the United States. Neste, a producer of SAF, will provide up to 1 million gallons of its Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel. The first supply arrived in August.

I love a good outdoor screening, so when I saw National Harbor announced the return of its popular Movies on the Potomac series, May 1–Sept. 30, every Thursday at 7 p.m., “date night,” and every Sunday at 6 p.m. for “family night,” I had to share!
