Among the new spring openings blooming in the city of Paris is the new Josephine Baker Suite at Oetker Collection’s Le Bristol. The palace hotel at 112 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré is home to a new suite on the top floor of the hotel, which commemorates the entertainer, artist and activist Josephine Baker.

Baker became a famous dancer in Paris and worked as a French Resistance agent and civil rights activist. She was awarded the Croix de Guerre, given to individuals who distinguish themselves by acts of heroism involving combat with enemy forces, and named Chevalier of the Légion d’Honneur.

The suite itself is decorated with notable portraits of Baker and furnished with Louis XVI-style furniture, pleated pink lampshades and fabrics by noted designers. The opulent bathroom is done in white marble. The entire space totals 753 square feet, which can be expanded into a single apartment by connecting to an adjacent junior suite for a total of 1,259 square feet.

The suite also enjoys unobstructed views of the Eiffel Tower. The new addition is a true Parisian gem.
