Solo New York announced the debut of a new line of sustainable bags, its Re:cycled Collection, at the CES 2020 trade show.
The line uses repurposed plastic bottles to create stylish and sustainable bags. Each bag, depending on the size, uses three–eight plastic bottles. According to Solo New York, the first production is responsible for the recycling of 90,000 water bottles.
The brand takes sustainability a step further with the promise to plant a tree for every bag sold.
The line launched in a few different styles: The Re:vive Mini Backpack, the Re:store Tote and the Re:move Duffel retail for $24.99, $54.99 and $64.99, respectively.
Solo New York is not just touting sustainability for marketing purposes — the company’s headquarters is 100 percent solar powered and the company has a strict no single-use plastic bottle policy. In addition, all of the products are shipped in recycled corrugated cardboard.
“Sustainability and our net green impact are part of our brand DNA, and we’re dedicated to moving forward and adding new, more environmentally friendly programs and initiatives every year,” said Serkan Anders, vice president, marketing, Solo New York.

Jul 13, 2026Review: Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis
ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: After a late-night flight into St. Louis, I arrived at the Four Seasons around 1:30 a.m., completely exhausted. The moment I stepped into the lobby, I was warmly greeted by the front desk attendant, who checked me in quickly and efficiently. On my way to the elevators, I caught a glimpse of the stunning lobby which had a long stream of water flowing behind a glass wall paired with a unique sculpture. Even in my tired state, I knew I wanted to come back and take it all in during daylight.
