Luxury hotel The Strand Yangon launched its first river cruise vessel last year and is now hoping to lure cruise lovers with new 2017 offers that combine cruise itineraries with luxury hotel stays.
The 54-passenger Strand Cruise offers three- and four-day cruise itineraries on Myanmar’s Irrawaddy River. For a limited time, passengers who book any cabin category on the cruise for 2017 trips departing between Jan. 2 and April 30 or Sept. 1 and Dec. 31 will receive a promotional rate for the cruise as well as two nights in a superior suite at the Strand Yangon, pre- or post-sailing.
The special 2017 offers include domestic flights between Yangon (RGN) and the point of embarkation/disembarkation of the Strand Cruise.
A discounted cruise rate will also be offered for passengers who book on the Strand Cruise for trips departing Jan. 27–30, the period around Chinese New Year, or for the classical music-themed Valentine’s Day cruise departing Feb. 13. The discounted rate for these itineraries will include two nights in a superior suite at Stand Yangon and the domestic flight.
The luxury Strand Cruise offers a pool deck, a sun deck for alfresco dining, a stocked library, a wine bar and a wellness center with a large menu of services. All 23 staterooms and suites feature French balconies, and the two Strand Suites feature private terraces.
The Strand Cruise operates itineraries between Bagan and Mandalay, with excursions including the U Bein Bridge and the tamales of Bagan.
