Passengers traveling from Stansted Airport can now use up to four hours of free WiFi as part of the airport’s customer service improvement program.

The upgrade includes WiFi coverage in all main passenger areas including check-in, the departure lounge, arrival halls and gates.

Passengers can charge their mobile devices for free at available airport bars and restaurants and charging points in red box seating areas within the departure lounge.

“It’s clear from our customer feedback and our own surveys what really matters to passengers when they are at the airport and which services they value the most, including access to reliable and convenient free WiFi, so it’s vital we are able to respond positively and meet those expectations,” said Daniel Gallo, security and customer service director, Stansted Airport. “The extension of free WiFi service is the latest example of a host of key service enhancements we’ve recently introduced at the airport or have in the pipeline, and another step along our journey to continually improve the overall passenger experience at Stansted.”

Users complete a simple registration process and once completed the network will recognize previously registered devices and automatically connect you. Once using WiFi services past the allotted four hours, charges apply.
