Already known around the world for its fitness programs and watersport activities, The BodyHoliday on the northwest coast of St. Lucia upped the activities ante with the introduction of a sailing program staffed by a team of sailing professionals. Whether you’re a complete novice or seasoned seadog, the program allows for plenty of premium time on the water. Guests can choose a half-day Introduction to Sailing course to learn the basics, then advance to the five-day Learn to Crew and Learn to Helm courses. There’s also a two-day Learn to Race option. Each course includes theory and hands-on practice to help participants grasp basic sailing techniques, an understanding of sailing yachts and practical crewing experience. Two new G-Force X-Treme 26 craft were acquired by G-Force Yachts, a global leader in high-performance sailing yachts. Both craft are high speed, state-of-the-art up and downwind boats that offer three types of racing capability. The sailing program is part of the resort’s all-inclusive offerings, which will be supplemented by a series of regattas hosted throughout the year in partnership with the nearby island of Martinique.
