Sofitel debuted its latest traveling photo exhibit at the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe. The new exhibit, entitled La Parisienne by Sofitel, focuses on Parisian women in candid settings. The two-part exhibition features both a retrospective and contemporary collection of photographs. The retrospective collection includes 22 images dating from the 1950s forward and includes shots from Emanuele Scorcelletti. The contemporary collection features 10 award-winning images from amateur photographers. The exhibition will stay at the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe until September, then travel to Sofitel properties in London, Warsaw, Amsterdam, Lisbon and Budapest, among other destinations. At each stop, the exhibit will stay several weeks. Betty Autier was chosen as the ambassador for the exhibit. “It’s an honor to be the ambassadress for La Parisienne by Sofitel. There are many iconic French personalities I admire, particularly Coco Chanel for her ‘French chic,’ Catherine Deneuve for her elegance and charisma, Lou Doillon for her talent, Charlotte Gainsbourg for her nature and Caroline de Maigret for her style. The photos selected for this exhibition evoke a memory or emotion, and each one offers its own distinct definition of Paris. For travelers who dream of visiting Paris, La Parisienne by Sofitel is a great opportunity to discover the city through unique imagery,” said Autier.
