SkyTeam added a 147-seat lounge at the new Istanbul Airport. The airline alliance’s newest lounge spans more than 6,000 square feet and is open all day.
The lounge is stocked with locally sourced food, including mezze dishes, pide (Turkish pizza) and Turkish wine, tea and coffee. There’s a reception area with custom furniture and living moss walls, plus an interior with a variety of seating, free WiFi and showers.
The lounge is available to first- and business-class passengers on SkyTeam flights (Aeroflot, Air France, KLM, Korean Air, Middle East Airlines, Saudia and Tarom), plus SkyTeam Elite Plus members.
The lounge sits in the airport’s West Wing on Level H and is the alliance’s seventh branded lounge, with 790 affiliated lounges worldwide. It joins facilities in London Heathrow (LHR), Sydney (SYD), Hong Kong (HKG), Dubai (DXB), Beijing (PEK) and Vancouver (YVR).
Kristin Colvile, CEO. SkyTeam said, “SkyTeam is hyper-focused on creating the best in class customer experience of any alliance, and our branded lounges are key to achieving this goal. This striking new lounge is an important component of delivering a seamless experience at every step of our customers’ journeys.”
