A partnership to change the way travellers experience Asia is on the way. Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts recently announced a partnership with Klook, a leading travel activity booking platform that allows hotel guests to easily access countless experiences to enhance travel.

The partnership allows Shangri-La to offer more ways for Golden Circle members to earn and spend rewards points. The two organizations will complement each other to allow tech-savvy millennial travellers to further define their own journeys.

“By delivering additional hotel and in-destination features, we are strengthening the value proposition for guests in line with their widening needs and giving them more inspiring choices during their travels,” said Irene Lin, executive vice president of marketing, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts.

“We’re excited to be innovating on a series of initiatives with Shangri-La – Klook Concierge and the Golden Circle redemption programme are just the start of an exciting partnership ahead,” said Anita Ngai, chief revenue officer, Klook.

At first, the collaborations will be relatively simple. The brands will work together on marketing initiatives in 2019, as well as make certain Klook experiences exclusively available for Shangri-La guests.

The first manifestation of the partnership debuts this month, with Shangri-La’s Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong properties hosting the new Klook Concierge service. The service allows guests to use a self-service terminal to discover and book activities on their own.

Finally, Golden Circle members will be able to use Golden Circle points toward booking experiences this month.
