Delta Air Lines added a second club to meet growing travel demand at its Pacific Northwest hub, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Construction began in late 2015 and it finally opened last weekend. The 21,000-square-foot lounge is one of Delta’s five largest clubs. The club provides guests views of the runaway and mountain range.
Seattle’s Sky Club represents the newest in renewed thinking behind the airline’s guest experience, featuring local touches providing an inviting environment for members and guests, seating more than 400 customers on two levels. From modern décor seating to locally inspired art, premium drink offerings and a first-of-its-kind, in-club spa, be sure to stop by. The lounge is located beyond airport security between Concourses A and B.
“We are constantly striving to go above and beyond for our guests,” said Claude Roussel, managing director, Delta Sky Club. “In the new Seattle Delta Sky Club, unique amenities will keep travelers plugged in, portable and relaxed. From the first-class view to the local food and beverages, the club will be a showcase of what Seattle has to offer.”
There are many exclusive amenities to the Seattle lounge: spa services from Asanda Spa Lounge, featuring seated chair massages with guided meditation; locally inspired fare exclusive to this location; Beecher’s World’s Best Mac & Cheese, made with a combination of its Flagship and Just Jack cheeses; a 60-foot suspended sculpture created by Paul Vexler and a Pike Place-inspired pixelated mural; and large windows with view dynamic glass.
THE BAR at Delta Sky Club offers a variety of premium and complimentary options including Washington wines, cocktails from local distilleries, Georgetown Lucille IPA craft beer, a self-serve espresso machine and Starbucks coffee.
The interior embodies the Pacific Northwest with a heavy focus on wood, water and movement with 30-foot ceilings and curved paneling and a mezzanine level with an art gallery. The lounge will feature contemporary furniture with power outlets near every seat, as well as six shower suites.
The airline’s expansion is estimated to contribute $571 million annually in economic output.
