Stanford Court in San Francisco now offers guests Powermat technology. Powermat charging spots allow users to wirelessly charge both iOS and Android devices.

Powermat works through an app and charging locations located in public spaces all around the world. Simply download the app, place your device in a charging spot and the automatic charging process begins. For devices that do not accommodate wireless charging capabilities, the hotel will offer compatible Powermat rings for no cost. The Powermat app also will allow the hotel to send users special offers and rewards, including discounts on beverages at the property’s bar.

“We are dedicated to offering top-tier services, technology and amenities, and the introduction of Powermat is another example of raising the bar for guests. Our partnership with Powermat makes traveling as easy as possible and solves one of our guests’ most common problems — ensuring that their phones have adequate battery power,” said Michael Baier, general manager, Stanford Court.

Powermat is not the first of Stanford Court’s steps toward the technological future. The hotel also offers guests complimentary ultra-high-speed wireless Internet connectivity, complimentary iMac and iPads in the lobby with pre-downloaded magazines and bestselling novels, access to ZipCar, electric car charging stations and JAMBOX speakers with preset white noise playlists.
