Many Floridians consider Naples’ South Fifth Avenue the “Rodeo Drive” of their state or even the East Coast, and their assessment is well-founded. The stretch features high-end stores, stylish restaurants and cafés, art galleries, a playhouse, and top-end autos.
Inn on Fifth exudes history and character while appealing to modern travelers seeking the perfect intersection of luxury and Floridian charm. The original location, a former bank built in 1948 and transformed into a boutique hotel in the late 1990s, is crisp and modern. The Club Level Suites addition, directly across the street, was transformed into what management describes as the “Old Naples Neo-Mediterranean” aesthetic mirroring the original location. Between 2025 and 2026, Club Level Suites were expanded into an adjoining 1970s bank building, adding 11 premium suites and bringing the upgraded room count to 32 and the overall room total to 119.
All rooms on both sides of the street are beautifully appointed with Stearns & Foster Tivoli Elegance/Tivoli Luxury Plush Euro-Top mattresses, high-thread count sheets, complimentary WiFi, marble-appointed bathrooms, Noble House bath amenities with subtle tropical aromas, spacious closets, and access to spa and fitness facilities. The higher-end rooms inside the Club Level Suites building factor in room upgrades, including extra sitting room space, large soaking tubs and either a furnished terrace or small balcony.
The highlight of the Club Level is an actual private “club” with plush seating, offering a substantial “continental” breakfast with hot dishes like buttery scrambled eggs and thick-cut bacon in addition to fresh fruit, pastries, tea and coffee. The exclusive lounge also has a D.I.Y. Bloody Mary station, snacks offered all day and hot hors d’oeuvres served during happy hour. The true stars of the premises are the dedicated concierge staffers — particularly Armand.
There is plenty of elegance and customization found at the main building that makes it a genteel but vibrant hub for business travelers and those planning or attending special events or small conferences. The property regularly collaborates with Rouse galleries to transform its public spaces into an art gallery in its own right reflecting different event themes, event hosts and seasonal occasions. Beyond a pool and hot tub, the expansive roof pool deck has an abundance of seating; fire pits; and Blu Bar & Grill, which offers daily breakfast, cocktails and snacks.
Deeper inside the main building, guests find an immaculately maintained fitness room, which includes Peloton bikes and health club-grade equipment. There’s also Spa on Fifth, an intimate and tranquil space which includes a steam room; sauna; small relaxation area; retail space; and a concise but customizable menu of massages, body treatments and facials. Under the direction of Nicole Morrissey, the team of practitioners do a fantastic job of making a guest feel fully restored by the end of a session.
Registered guests can request a lift in the hotel’s house car to places within a one-mile radius of the hotel, or a ride to and from the beach via golf cart with lounge chairs, beach towels and other necessities. They can also inquire about using one of the hotel’s cruiser bicycles or special guest privileges at adjacent tennis courts and several local golf courses.

Aug 12, 2026Savor Danish Sensibility in Copenhagen’s Revitalized Carlsberg District
I was surprised to learn Denmark consistently ranks among the world’s happiest countries. Sure, Scandinavia is lovely, but that Nordic weather hardly seemed conducive to soaring serotonin levels. When I finally visited Copenhagen, it all made sense. Whether you’re a fashionista, a Michelin-star chaser, a Viking history buff or just a curious traveler, the Danish capital promises an endless feast.
