ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: My recent stay at Hotel Commonwealth in Boston for client meetings was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the check-in process set the tone for an outstanding experience. The front desk staff were friendly, efficient and accommodating, making me feel truly welcome. Despite my early arrival, they were able to expedite my check-in and provide me with valuable information about the hotel and the local area. The seamless and quick process was a great start to my visit.

GUEST QUARTERS: Upon entering my guest quarters, I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness and modern design of the room. The room was spacious and featured all the amenities one could desire for a comfortable stay. The bed provided a restful night’s sleep, and the well-appointed bathroom was stocked with high-quality toiletries, including a Drybar hairdryer — a thoughtful touch that added to the overall convenience and comfort of my stay. The attention to detail in the room’s design and furnishings truly made me feel like a valued guest. Whether I relaxed in the cozy armchair or took in the city views from the window, the guest quarters at Hotel Commonwealth exceeded my expectations.

SERVICES/AMENITIES: Hotel Commonwealth offers an array of amenities that truly enhance the overall guest experience. The fitness center was well-equipped with a variety of exercise machines, making it easy to stick to my workout routine while traveling. The on-site dining options were a highlight of my stay. I enjoyed a delightful lunch at the hotel’s restaurant, Blue Ribbon Sushi, where the sushi was fresh and delicious. The hotel boasts other outstanding restaurants such as Pescador Coastal Grill and TsuruTonTan Udon Noodle Brasserie, offering a diverse range of culinary experiences. The room service was also prompt and convenient, making it easy to enjoy a meal in the comfort of my room. Additionally, the complimentary WiFi ensured I could stay connected throughout my visit. The hotel’s location also made it easy to explore the city, with Fenway Park and other attractions within walking distance. The convenience of these amenities made my stay all the more enjoyable.

TOP TAKEAWAYS:

Bask in Nature’s Tranquility at The Spa at Four Seasons Tamarindo

When the two of us entered The Spa at Four Seasons Tamarindo, past the backlit boutique items and local artisan-painted wood carvings, the place wrapped us in a feeling of tranquility. Its stone walls, earth tones, woven wall hangings and furniture made of natural materials reminded us we are part of nature’s spectrum, the abundant windows showing native plants and trees outside.

Considering the hotel was originally built as a castle for Prince Elector Johann Wilhelm II of Duesseldorf and his wife, Maria-Luisa of the Medici family, my thought wasn’t that far off.
