ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: After a late-night flight into St. Louis, I arrived at the Four Seasons around 1:30 a.m., completely exhausted. The moment I stepped into the lobby, I was warmly greeted by the front desk attendant, who checked me in quickly and efficiently. On my way to the elevators, I caught a glimpse of the stunning lobby which had a long stream of water flowing behind a glass wall paired with a unique sculpture. Even in my tired state, I knew I wanted to come back and take it all in during daylight.

GUEST QUARTERS: The room was both spacious and inviting. As I entered, I passed a large bathroom featuring two cozy white robes, oversized vanity mirror and a deep soaking tub. It instantly gave me Pretty Woman vibes. The minibar was fully stocked with water, soda, alcoholic drinks and snacks, along with a mini fridge and a Nespresso machine for my morning espresso. A desk area held fresh fruit and a thoughtful chocolate shaped like the Gateway Arch. Floor-to- ceiling windows showcased incredible city views. After settling in and unpacking into the well-appointed closet, I was more than ready for a good night’s sleep; and, surprisingly, I got a full eight hours, which is rare for me in hotels.

SERVICES/AMENITIES: The next morning I opted for a slow start and ordered room service. While waiting, I made myself an espresso using the Nespresso machine. My breakfast, a spinach and cheese egg frittata from Ramsay’s Kitchen, arrived promptly, accompanied by a carafe of fresh coffee and a side of fruit. I spent the rest of the morning exploring the property, stopping by the Topgolf Swing Suite where guests were enjoying themselves. The hotel was also preparing for an evening wedding, with the Gateway Arch creating a stunning backdrop. There were several inviting spaces throughout the hotel to sit, work or relax.

One of the highlights was the resort-style heated rooftop pool on the eighth-floor Sky Terrace, offering panoramic views of the Mississippi River and Gateway Arch, along with a hot tub. Although the Spa at Four Seasons St. Louis was temporarily closed during my visit, I still got to enjoy its luxurious bath amenities in my room, which added to the overall experience. Dining options include Ramsay’s Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay and RK Bar.

TOP TAKEAWAYS:

  • What stood out most was the attention to detail. From housekeeping texting updates after cleaning and turndown service to the chocolates placed on the pillow each evening, service throughout the hotel felt elevated and personal, almost butler-like, making every guest feel special.
  • The location is ideal, with easy access to downtown St. Louis attractions.
