Try those and more while enjoying close-up views of the Empire State Building at the Refinery Rooftop, located at 63 W. 38th St., in the Garment District. Beginning in June and continuing throughout the summer months, a new Summer Series of specialty culinary events will be held at Refinery Rooftop every third Sunday. Plans include a backyard barbecue and a traditional clambake with crawfish. The 3,500-square-foot space is divided into three areas with a décor including exposed brick, reclaimed terracotta floor tiles from Provence and wooden paneling created with wood from the building’s own repurposed water tanks. There’s a lunch and evening menu by Chef Jeff Haskell featuring grilled fish tacos and lobster tater tot nachos, plus plenty of posh cocktails to keep you heading roof-side all summer long. Try a Luster, made from Hendricks’s Gin, fresh lime juice, white cranberry juice, muddled cucumber and a dash of Pimm’s; a Hebrides Queen with Botanist Islay Gin, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon juice, grapefruit bitter, ginger beer and hibiscus float; or a Tailorbyrd with Woodford Rye, white cranberry juice, muddled strawberry, cucumber, mint, hot honey and a ginger ale topper.
