The Australian government agreed with Qatar to increase flight capacity between the two countries by 50 percent, a significant boost for both tourist and agricultural exports. Under the terms of the new agreement, airlines of both countries can offer up to 21 flights per week to major gateways of Sydney, Melbourne and Perth as well as operate unlimited services between Qatar and regional locations.
Qatar Airways currently offers daily service between Doha (DOH) and both Melbourne (MEL) and Perth (PER).
