Qatar Airways announced various new routes for the upcoming year including Canberra, the fifth Australian destination and Las Vegas (LAS), the 11^th U.S. route. Las Vegas is joined by Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Houston Bush Intercontinental (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK), Philadelphia (PHL) and Washington Dulles (IAD).

The Doha-based carrier will add eight new routes to launch in 2017: Canberra, Australia (CBR); Dublin, Ireland (DUB); Las Vegas, Nevada; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (GIG); Santiago, Chile (SCL); Medan, Indonesia (KNO); and Tabuk (TUU) and Yanbu (YNB), Saudi Arabia. The airline has not yet specified start dates for these new routes.

The airline opened 13 new routes in 2016, with the latest service to Krabi (KBV) on Dec. 6, and Seychelles (SEZ) to begin service Dec. 12.
