As if the Big Sky address and luxury experience weren’t already enough, The Resort at Paws Up in Montana’s Blackfoot Valley has planned a number of delicious reasons to visit. Guests have three options this summer (June 20, July 11 and Aug. 22) to participate in a Montana Long Table. After scouting the Montana Farmer’s Market, a dinner featuring regional heritage products takes place outdoors at a long table set within a grassy pasture. Guests include area ranchers, farmers and food artisans who produced many of the dinner’s ingredients. Next, from Aug. 6–8, author, television personality and chef Georgia Pellegrini hosts a Modern Pioneering Wilderness Workshop that promises to hone the foraging, butchering, and cheese and candle-making skills of participants.

On Aug. 29, a weekend of culinary immersion kicks off led by chef Brooke Williamson. Chef Williamson takes guests on a shopping excursion to a farmer’s market to shop for the day’s freshest offerings, then prepares a multicourse tasting menu that includes a dish created in tribute to the Blackfoot Indians who once lived, harvested and hunted where the ranch now stands. From Sept. 24–27, a Montana Master Chefs weekend celebrates the resort’s tenth anniversary with a convergence of top chefs and wine experts. The weekend theme is Chicago All-Stars, and includes spa treatments and outdoor excursions into some of Montana’s most spectacular outdoor settings.
