Located in Stockholm, Sweden’s, city center, Nordic Light Hotel from Preferred Hotel Group offers a modern stay for travelers. The uniquely designed, 159-room and 10-suite hotel offers a perfect stay for business or leisure travel. Everything is within proximity, including central station, the express train from Arlanda Airport, waterfront attractions, Old Town, shopping, museums and more. In the hotel, guests can take advantage of Nordic restaurant Lykke, a fully equipped gym, and plenty of conference spaces and rooms for all company sizes and events.
After a long overnight flight and a backup at customs at Arlanda Airport, I was glad check-in at Nordic Light was a breeze. I headed up to my spacious deluxe king room, which featured a king bed, a couch which can turn into a bed, soft pillows, unique pieces of photo art by photographer Åke Eson Lindman, a coffee table, plenty of closet space, countertop space, a TV, coffeemaker, and a fully stocked minibar with everything from soda to spirits to snacks. Giant windows provided plenty of natural light but featured blackout curtains to block city lights at night.
Not only did the windows have these features, but they also were completely soundproof, blocking out the hustle and bustle of the city below. Each room also featured an umbrella for guests to take out on rainy day adventures, which really came in handy considering the first two days of my trip were rainy. The bathroom was spacious and featured a rain shower head, as well as a bathtub with amenities for a late-night bath. The bathroom also featured bath, shower and other products from Grown Alchemist.

After appetizers and drinks at Lykke the first night, I toured the hotel, starting in the newly designed gym, which featured state-of-the-art stationary bikes, treadmills, weights machines, free weights and more.

Next, I headed to the meeting spaces, a big draw for business travelers. All on one floor, meeting spaces range from rooms fitting two–six people, round tables for collaboration, shared spaces and bigger spaces for larger conferences or events. Different types of guestrooms include standard queen, superior king and a variety of suites.
Overall, whether traveling for leisure, business or a mix of both, Nordic Light Hotel has something to offer.
