The Renwick Hotel, a historic property in the heart of midtown Manhattan, recently joined Hilton’s Curio Collection — a collection of unique, handpicked, 4- and 5-star hotels in cities across the globe. As the first New York City hotel to join the global set of remarkable properties, The Renwick Hotel facilitates a traveler’s desire for authentic experiences.

The 173-room property, located on East 40^th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues, opened last year. The hotel is two blocks from Grand Central Station and a short walk to Bryant Park.

The hotel is a renovation of the Bedford, originally built as a long-stay property in the 1920s hosting John Steinbeck and F Scott Fitzgerald. The fully-renovated property takes inspiration from its days as a residence for intellects with unique interiors designed to mimic the culture and art from the Roaring Twenties. The literary and artistic heritage is found throughout the rooms, as they are equipped with artist-inspired desks with writing paper and ink, works by local artists and easel-inspired TV stands. The studios and suites include books by the authors who stayed at the hotel.
