WIMCO Villas recently announced new milestone technology that allows travelers to thoroughly research stay options when booking a trip to St. Barth’s.

The brand’s website now allows travelers to peruse 200 interactive floor plans of the private villas in the WIMCO Villas portfolio. The interactive floor plans include graphic illustrations of the layouts and dimensions of each villa’s interior and exterior. When one scrolls over the indicated photo pins, more images appear, so guests can look at a villa from all angles rather than just relying on a handful of best-case images uploaded to a website. Many include a 360-degree view option, similar to what one might find on Google Maps.

Currently, most of the villas making use of the tech have three or four bedrooms, as it was felt the larger villas are a bit more difficult to envision based on standard photos and written descriptions alone.

“Our focus with this technology is to make it easier for our clients to imagine their experience in the villa,” said Stiles Bennet, president, WIMCO. “Our villa specialists visit our properties firsthand, and now prospective guests can have that same immersive experience on a remote basis.”
